Winding Down For Milford Historical

On January 21, the Milford Historical Society featured an interesting presentation about Milford from the 1940s until the 70s. They note Milford's 374th anniversary is on February 12.

Braving snow that was no more than a dusting, a packed standing room only house listened to Dave Gregory’s flowing prose on recent Milford history held at the Mary Taylor Church on January 21. This was illustrated with original photos supplemented with newspaper clippings projected behind him. Many were able to relate to this more contemporary view of Milford life. Dave concluded with a visual tour of how the look of downtown has evolved within our lifetimes. In the past 70 years, Milford has gone from a quant little town to a charming and friendly small city.

The Milford Historical Society quiets down for the season, noting the 374th anniversary of the founding of Milford on February 12, 1639. We will join the Orange Historical Society in March, elect new officers and open our historic homes back up later in the year for school tours and anyone interested in learning about Milford’s almost 375 years.

To clarify, they have 4 cats, and they're only able to take two of them, plus their 14 year old dog.Read More It was a struggle for them to even find a way to get the dog in the rental agreement, otherwise they would have tried to take them. :(

Sad that they had to leave these beauties behind. I'm sure they are heartbroken over it.

Please contact Forgotten Felines in Clinton. They are a no kill cat shelter. Offering "free toRead More a good home" pets is dangerous. There are bad people out there who take them and sell them to research labs or use them as bait in dog fighting. Please rethink this ad.
