Milford Bank Promotions

The Milford Bank announced the promotions of two of its employees. Celeste M. Lohrenz was promoted to Vice President. She will continue to serve as Branch Manager of the Bank's Post Road West Office. And Nora D. Paige was promoted to Vice President. Paige has served as Operations Manager since joining the Bank in 2003.

New Casual Male to Open

Casual Male/DXL has taken out a 10-year term lease for 8,500 square feet of space at 1212 Boston Post Road in Milford, according to a recent Saugatuck Commercial Real Estate press release. The Westport-based firm, which represented the men's clothing store in the deal, reports the store will be new construction in the shopping center, which is currently anchored by Old Navy and Bed, Bath & Beyond.

Milford Chamber Awards

The Milford Chamber of Commerce recently held its annual meeting, where more than two dozen local business people were honored with this year's "Awards of Distinction."

New Realtor at Wareck D’Ostilio

Realtor Rachel Anastasio has joined the team at Wareck D'Ostillo Real Estate. The Woodbridge resident has been a realtor since 2009. Prior to that, she served as a CPA at two prominent area accounting firms: Weinstein & Anastasio, LLP and UHY, LLP (aka Marcum LLP).

Boys & Girls Village Is Hiring

The Milford-based Boys & Girls Village, which serves children and families in at-risk situations, is now hiring. The nonprofit organization is looking for:
  • IICAPS Clinician
  • IICAPS Health Councelor
  • MST/PSB Clinician

February is "Pamper Your Pooch Month' at Coastal Canine Grooming in Milford. All this month, each grooming receives a free teeth brushing and valentine goodie bag.  

New ED for Milford's Promise

Milford's Promise, the alliance for youth, has appointed Milford businesswoman Priscilla Lynn as it's new executive director. Lynn is a long time Milford resident and entrepreneur. She is actively engaged in the greater Milford community, and is a member of the Milford Chamber of Commerce, the Network of Executive Women, and the Downtown Milford Business Association.

Most pleased to have Casual Male back. As a fat bastard, it's hard to get stylish clothes that fit. I just hope the entry is on grade so I don't have to embarrassingly walk up the handicapped ramp like at their old location because I can't take the stairs. Welcome back, I says!!
