Free Facebook Workshop for Small Businesses

Patch is partnering with marketing professional Dewey Forbes to host the workshop April 25 at the Milford Public Library.

If you're a business owner without a Facebook page then you are missing out on a huge opportunity.

But for many business owners the idea of starting and managing a social media presence is totally foreign and downright daunting. Don't worry, we've got you covered!

Tomorrow, April 25, marketing professional Dewey Forbes and Milford Patch are teaming up to host a free workshop at the to teach you, our local business owners, everything you need to know about Facebook. From the simple steps of creating the page on to how to effectively use it to connect with customers and grow your business, as well as some awesome tips on how to easily manage it, we'll walk you through it all.

The workshop will begin at 5 p.m. and last till about 7 p.m. Here's a more detailed breakdown of what we'll cover:

  • Build your Facebook Page (hands-on)
  • How to use your new page
  • Examples of successful business pages that deliver Real ROI
  • Developing meaningful content for your page
  • How to manage your page

What to Bring

This is a hands-on workshop designed to not only empower you but also to help you create a Facebook page for your business. To effectively do that, we ask that you bring:

  • Laptop w/WiFi
  • Firefox web browser installed - click here if needed: Download Firefox v10.0.2
  • Logos, images, video files for your business (Logos & images should be in "gif" file format, video in "mpeg" or "mov" format)
  • Word file or other electronic file describing your business, products, services, hours, etc.
  • 25' Extension cord
