U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro, D-CT, in and last year , had good news for manufacturers at an exporting conference this week.
The New Haven Register reported that DeLauro told local business people that Connecticut manufacturers are benefiting from a recent turn toward more favorable conditions for overseas trade.
DeLauro said U.S. trade exports increase by 16 percent in the last year, following an increase of 17 percent the year before.
The conference was held by the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Connecticut District Export Council at Yale University’s West Campus in Orange.
