Cops: Man Steals $189.60 Worth of Cologne

Arrest information provided by the Milford Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Hamden man was arrested for allegedly stealing five bottles of cologne from Sears at the Westfield Shoppingtown Post Mall.

A computer check revealed that Marco Sebastian, age 32 of Hamden, had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for failing to appear in New Haven court for 2011 motor vehicle offenses.

Sebastian was charged with sixth degree larceny and second degree failure to appear in court.

Sebastian was held on $650 bond.

I can understand major crimes being newsworthy, but all those petty crimes being elevated to major crime status makes Patch appear as if it is searching for items to make a headline. I would rather hope that you find items that honor our residents instead.

But I bet he left that place smelling like a rose.

Hi Ron: Thanks for the note. One of the things that I love most about Patch is this open line of communication. I always appreciate you letting me know if the content on our site can be elevated, and I aspire to keep us moving forward. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

Ryan, you just keep putting up any and all the stories you want. I'll read almost anything, and Ron will comment on almost anything. Besides I would gladly rather read about a cologne thief as opposed to something terrible.
