Connecticut Gas Prices Rise 5 Cents in a Week

Prices recently hit $4 and keep on rising.

Gas prices in Connecticut continue to rise, with the average price per gallon now at $4.07, according to price tracking website ConnecticutGasPrices.com. A month ago the average price was only $3.93.

Despite the rise, analyst Patrick DeHaan of GasBuddy.com – the parent company of ConnecticutGasPries.com- thinks prices will drop soon.

"Even with Isaac long gone, the oil industry is still bringing capacity back online- at refineries and oil rigs, which is keeping pressure on prices," DeHaan said in a press release. "Supply remains tight across the country as we slowly approach the transition to winter-spec gasoline, but I continue to be firm in believing that the national average will start to decline towards the end of September, as is typically the case.”

The national average is $3.82 per gallon.
