At Long Last, Tilted Kilt Opens in Milford

It's actually happening: Tilted Kilt is opening its Milford location at 290 Old Gate Lane.

"Hey TK fans!!!! Rumors are NOT true," reads an Oct. 22 post on the restaurant's Facebook page. "We are opening on Tuesday the 22 at 5pm!!!!!!!! We can't wait to see you all here!!!!"

Back in March the restaurant wrote a post on the social media site that suggested a mid-May opening.

A status update two months later promised "sometime in June," the delay a result of "some out-of-state contractors." A post in late-August said mid-September.

The Tilted Kilt describes its establishment on its Facebook page as such: "We are a Celtic themed Sports Pub with hints of Ireland, England and Scotland. Featuring the world famous Tilted Kilt Girls!"

"A Cold Beer Never Looked So Good," is the restaurant's slogan.

In an attempt to make public what caused the long delay, a call to the city's director of permitting and land use was not returned in September. A spokesperson for the Tilted Kilt also could not be reached for comment.
