Are There Too Many Pizza Places in Milford?

With the announcement of Colony Grill opening in Milford, does this make for one pizza place too many? Or is it a matter of quality, not quantity?

Just last month, opened in downtown Milford. It seems, now, that another pizzeria will be moving into old location.

When it would be moving into downtown Milford sometime in the next year, the general consensus was one of enthusiasm that a new business would finally take over for Harrison's.

There were, however, a few dissenting opinions on our Facebook page, with one user asking, "Didn't they jut open another pizza joint down there?"

Milford Community & Economic Development Bob Gregory was one person particularly enthusiastic about Colony opening a location in Milford.

"You look at Wooster Square and there's a lot of pizza places there," Gregory said.

Gregory also emphasized the differences between Colony Grill and Milford Green Pizza, saying that Colony is "going to have more of a bar trade, as well."

Gregory went on to call Colony "a different fit."
