Milford Indoor Tennis - New Director of Tennis -Rob Gurden

Rob Gurden joins Milford Indoor Tennis as the new Director of Tennis.

Milford Indoor Tennis is pleased to announce the addition of Rob Gurden to its instructional staff and the new Director of Tennis. Rob had served as the junior tennis director at Midtown Athletic Club-Bannockburn in Chicago for over 8 years. From there he moved to California to work with top players at Weil Tennis Academy, before accepting a position as the Academy Director at the Jose Higueras Tennis program and also as Head Coach at Advantage Tennis Academy in California. From 2009-2011, Rob traveled full time on the ATP Professional Tour working with Takanyi Garanganga and Blake Strode among others. Rob specializes in identifying a player's game style and maximizing their potential by teaching them to problem solve and truly believe in themselves. Rob has been certified by the USPTA (P-1), PTR (professional level), CSCS, ITPA and ACE for personal training, along with being involved in the USTA High Performance Program. Rob played #1 singles and doubles all four years while at Grand Valley State University. He continued to play after college and began to teach all levels of players. To his credit he has taught over 80 players who have received Division I tennis scholarships. His players have won numerous titles including ITF Men's Future titles, U.S. Open junior girls singles title, and many USTA National titles, as well as hundreds of local and sectional championships.

Rob is a dynamic and energetic addition to the Milford Indoor Tennis team. He is a creative thinker who simply is looking to bring out the best in all players while challenging them along the way.
