Police say they are questioning the occupants of a vehicle that left the Howard Johnson parking lot at the time of the shooting.

It is not, however, the car that led police on a pursuit, says Milford police spokesman Officer Jeffrey Nielsen. That vehicle remains at large.

Nielsen said a bullet was found lodged in a car in the parking lot, which is behind an adjacent diner on the Boston Post Road.
