A Metro-North track worker died on Tuesday after being struck by a train, the Hartford Courant reports.
The accident happened about noon at the construction site of a new train station, said Marjorie Anders, Metropolitan Transportation Authority spokeswoman.
Milford Patch reported that service was temporarily suspended between New Haven and Milford.
According to the Metro-North Railroad Twitter account: "New Haven Line service has been restored btwn New Haven/Milford. Custs traveling through the vicinity of Milford should anticipate delays."
