Leap into Reading: Giveaways, Activities for Families at Barnes & Noble Milford

Join Barnes & Noble Milford's Educational Toys and Games' Department Lead Bookseller Amy Derbacher at a Hands-On Learning LeapReader Event on Thursday, March 20 at 7 pm. Families are invited to participate in interactive games and activities using LeapFrog's newest LeapReader Reading and Writing System.

Using the story "Leap and the Lost Dinosaur" children ages four to eight will have the chance to practice their reading and listening skills as they help a dinosaur family care for its new baby dino. Families will also have the opportunity to write a short story together with the Leapfrog's Family Adventure Book.

"March is Family Reading Month so we wanted to offer a family program that would encourage a lifelong love of reading," said Karen Dydzuhn, Community Relations Manager at Barnes & Noble Milford. "The LeapReader Reading & Writing System allows children to have fun as they develop into confident, independent readers." All families will receive a free LeapFrog book and poster to take home.

Registration is suggested. For more information, please call 203-301-0371.
