Writers Unlimited Publishing Party

Authors to read selections.

Writers Unlimited will hold a public reading of their original works on Wednesday, June 8 at 7:00 p.m. at the Milford Senior Center. The public is invited to attend this open performance.

Each author is a member of the Milford Senior Center and each has a passion for writing. While some have recently identified their talent, most writers have been honing their craft for many years. Their professional writing credentials include local and national publications. The readings range from humor to dramatic offerings, each representing the author’s own style.

Audience members will receive a gift copy of the group’s most recently printed book, The Magic of Words. Class members have chosen to dedicate their book to longtime member, Carol Ruggiero. Ruggiero said she joined the group because she was “looking for a challenging and fun pastime [when she] joined a Writers Unlimited meeting eleven years ago.” Since then, she has been published in several national magazines and local newspapers. She also judged a high school writing contest and won a writing contest in New Haven.
