Rosa DeLauro In Milford for Youth Art Contest

High school students from all over Southern Connecticut will be at the Westfield Shoppingtown Connecticut Post tonight at 6:30 p.m. along with Congresswoman Rosa L. DeLauro who will announce the 3rd Congressional District winners of the 2012 Congressional

Students from Connecticut's 3rd District (which stretches from Stratford to Middletown) have art displayed next to the food court of the in consideration to win the 3rd District Congressional Art Competition.

The work of the 1st place artist will be featured in the U.S. Capitol and Legislative office buildings for one year. The 2nd place student's art will also be displayed in Washington, D.C. The 3rd place artist's work will be featured at the District Office in New Haven.

Since beginning in 1982, the Conngressional Art Competition has welcomed the participation of 650,000 high students contestants. The theme of this year's competition is "An Artistic Discovery."
