‘Liquid-8’ Rocking Stonebridge Restaurant Tonight

Modern rock, classic hits and no cover.

Tonight the will be serving up more than just dinner. Beginning at 9 p.m., Liquid-8 will be putting on a live performance of covers spanning decades.

With influences such as Journey, Bon Jovi, Cheap Trick, and Kings of Leon, the band is well prepared for giving listeners what they want to hear. “We like to accommodate all listeners, as well as promoting a good name for ourselves,” drummer Kyle Davis said.

Davis is the newest addition to the band, joining the group this past summer. “This is my first time ever playing at Stonebridge,” he said.

Describing themselves as “one of the region's most popular rock and party bands,” the Newtown-based band covers decades of popular music, specializing in some of the best classic rock tunes all the way up to the more current rock hits heard on the radio today.

Liquid-8 has played various venues across the state, and some members of the group have been gigging out for over 12 years now. Most popular in the Fairfield and New Haven county areas, the group is hoping to bring a large amount of people to the show. “I’m really looking forward to a good turn out and a fun time,” said Davis.

The group is energetic and versatile. All four members of the group sing, as well as playing an instrument of their own. “We love music, and like to put on a good show for people,” Davis said.

The Daniel Street area, home of the Stonebridge Restaurant, is known for bringing in live entertainment, especially on the weekends. Liquid-8 has prepared over two and a half hours worth of live music and entertainment with no cover charge.

Although Stonebridge has a spacious outdoor patio and bar area, the band will most likely be performing inside the venue’s pub area due to the cold weather conditions and the late evening start time. The Stonebridge Restaurant is on 50 Daniel St.
