Walnut Beach Art Stroll Thursday, August 30th
On Thursday, August 30th come join in an evening of culture and fun!
Arrive before 6:00pm and enjoy dinner at The Lazy Lobster, or get pizza at Alfa's, even a deli sandwich if you prefer something cold at The New Town Deli. You can take your sandwich, pizza, or lobster roll down to the Gazebo at the end of the Naugatuck and enjoy the beach!
If are full, and feel a walk will help join in the Walnut Beach Art Stroll that starts at Firehouse Gallery, 81 Naugatuck Ave. who will be hosting an opening reception of the new exhibit "Light & Dark". It begins at 6:00 pm. A juried show, awards will be given, and you get to choose your favorite piece for the "People's Choice Award".

When you are done, meander down the Avenue to SoBoBo Gallery, 42 Naugatuck Avenue and meet Rona Harris, August's Artist and Spencer Gordon, September's Artist. Both will be available to discuss their work. A wine tasting by Seaside Wines & Spirits will be taking place at SoBoBo as well. If you like what you taste, stop in two doors down to Seaside Wines & Spririts.

Wild Expressions, 16 Broadway as usual has the most artistic, beautiful floral designs and not to mention local artists' works as well! There is always music, book reading and more! You can't miss it, Collected Stories takes part as well! You might find a good read!
To top off the evening with a dessert, you may want to stop in at Walnut Beach Creamery and Taste & See gourmet cupcake shop...mmmm, perhaps a cupcake ala mode?
