Sunken Garden Poetry Festival: Mark Doty

Don’t miss the final 2012 poetry and music event at the Sunken Garden Poetry Festival at Hill-Stead Museum on August 8 featuring world-renowned poet MARK DOTY.  Music by Danish jazz trio, Indra, at 6:15 pm, followed by poetry at 7:30 pm. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, food and wine.  Food and drinks are also available for purchase on site from Tallulah’s Catering. Handicap parking, access and restrooms available. Gates open at 4:30 pm. $5 per person, free parking. Tent on site in case of rain. Benefit pre-performance dinner and talk featuring Mark Doty 4:30-6:30; tickets $100/person, which includes festival admission. Limited space, email poetry@hillstead.org. To clarify, they have 4 cats, and they're only able to take two of them, plus their 14 year old dog.Read More It was a struggle for them to even find a way to get the dog in the rental agreement, otherwise they would have tried to take them. :(

Sad that they had to leave these beauties behind. I'm sure they are heartbroken over it.

Please contact Forgotten Felines in Clinton. They are a no kill cat shelter. Offering "free toRead More a good home" pets is dangerous. There are bad people out there who take them and sell them to research labs or use them as bait in dog fighting. Please rethink this ad.
