For Emma Saley, receiving high honors year-long at West Shore Middle School is nothing new. This sixth-grader has been a straight-A student since elementary school.
Her father, Christopher Saley, said, "Emma has always been determined and focused on her studies. She is also a voracious reader and many nights I have to remind her to go to bed because she wants to stay up late reading."
Emma's favorite subject is social studies, but she hopes to pursue an acting career after attending college and star on a TV sitcom. She is a member of the drama club at West Shore and participated in this year's production.

Besides being a star student, Emma holds other talents. She is a former strings student and now practices at home on her violin. She also plays soccer for The Milford United Soccer Club.
" I also enjoy singing, (especially country music) and dancing with friends and family and playing outside," Emma said.
