What Do I Do With My Pet During A Weather Emergency?

While Milford emergency shelters are able to accommodate pets, here's a list of other options for your four-legged friends if you have to leave your home and you're not going to the public shelter.

 

When your family members include the four-legged variety and there's a storm headed our way, thoughts naturally turn to how to keep pets safe.

Woodbury, CT Fire Chief Janet Morgan said because Hurricane Sandy is not a subdegree zero storm, she advises the following.

"It's really best if pets can stay in the home rather than be in a cage at an unfamiliar location with animals they don't know," she said.
