TODAY: Public Calling Hours for Maren Sanchez

Those who wish to pay their last respects to the slain Milford teen will have an opportunity to attend calling hours this Thursday at the Cody-White Funeral Home.

As the Milford community and beyond continues to come to terms with and grieve for the tragic death of Maren Sanchez, those who wish to pay their last respects will have an opportunity to do so later this week.

Calling hours for Sanchez will be held this Thursday at Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street in Milford, from 2 to 7 p.m.

The funeral home reports there will be shuttle service provided for attendees from the Parsons Complex starting at 4 p.m.

There will be no funeral for Sanchez, Cody-White told the New Haven Register.

City's Youth Award Postponed

In light of Sanchez's death, Milford Mayor Ben Blake announced on Tuesday that the Mayor’s Youth Award Ceremony has been postponed. 

The ceremony was originally scheduled for May 1.

Blake added that a new date will be announced in the near future.
