This Sunday: It's 'Milford Clean Up Day'

The members of local nonprofit group Milford Trees Inc are organizing a city-wide "Clean Up Day" for this Sunday, April 6.

It's April. And that means for many of us, it's time for some spring cleaning — and that includes the city of Milford, too.

The members of local nonprofit group Milford Trees Inc are organizing a city-wide "Clean Up Day" for this Sunday, April 6.

Volunteers will be meeting at the gazebo on the green at 9:30 a.m., and work assignment will be given from there.

"There are a number of projects we want to check on throughout the city," Milford Trees members stated in an email discussing the clean up, adding that that includes several playgrounds and the green itself.

Organizers will also have a small crew at the Milford Trees Shadyside Nursery digging holes for the new fence.

"Everyone is welcome to swing by to check it out after the clean up is done," the group stated. "Pass the word."

Those looking to take part in the clean up are asked to bring gloves, pruners, trash bags — "and a smile."

"It's supposed to be a beautiful day and any chance to take a look at our good work and plan our next project is a good use of a few hours," the group stated.
