Once Again, Milford Embarrassed

Reader says recent actions in Woodmont regarding the blocking of a safe house for women and children was behavior 'not representative of Milford.'

Originally published as an opinion post on Milford Patch.

An article in (Monday's) New Haven Register about a conference on domestic violence, hosted by the highly reputable service provider that tried to locate a shelter in Woodmont, until the residents revealed the address, mentions Milford's refusal to welcome the safe house.

I have talked with so many people in Milford who are just as disturbed as I am about how the Woodmont residents behaved. Their behavior was not representative of Milford.

The Patch should follow these stories when they appear and allow public comment by the Milford Patch community.
