Milford native Jonathan Quick will make his second appearance with the U.S. Olympic Men’s Ice Hockey team at the Sochi Games in Russia next month.

The 27-year-old Quick, who plays professionally for the L.A. Kings, was on the U.S. team in 2010 when it won silver at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

Quick, a goaltender, graduated from the hockey-centric boarding school Old Avon Farms in Avon, Conn., in 2005.

In 2010, Quick led the Kings to their first-ever Stanley Cup title, recording three postseason shutouts en route to winning the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP.

In 2012, the Kings reportedly signed Quick to a 10-year contract extension worth $58 million. The Milford native played collegiately at the University of Massachusetts.
