Milford Gets Most Snow In Tri-State Region

We got more snow than anyone, #2 and #3 were Oxford and Hamden, respectively.

We're number one.

And in this case, that's not too good.

According to the National Weather Service, Milford received 38" of snow from the blizzard, the third highest total behind Oxford at 36.2" and Hamden at 36''.

The NWS has snow totals here for Connecticut, New York and New Jersey, as well as wind gusts. The winner in that category is Westport, which saw 82MPH gusts around 11 p.m. last night. In the New Haven area, the highest gusts were around 47 MPH around 9 p.m.

How is Milford third, when they got the most? "According to the National Weather Service, Milford received 38" of snow from the blizzard, the third highest total behind Oxford at 36.2" and Hamden at 36''."

I just moved to Milford, is this an omen? Still a beautiful place.

Milford is considered part of the tri state area. Hamden and Oxford are not.

Looks like a new measurement in Hamden says 40"? Punks.
Samantha Dennett February 09, 2013 at 11:59 PM
Newspapers and reporting services don't proof things anymore. therefore the errors. of not, for total counts, someone in Hamden claimed 40", but I call foul. They measured at 1pm today. With the way the wind was blowing, that's no way accurate.

I actually did jump out the kitchen window. Went head first into the snow. Very cartoon like. ;p

@Denise and @David, I just moved here too, near Walnut Beach... just in time for Sandy and Nemo. I've never been evacuated before!! I certainly hope that storms in combinations of 3 are wrong. I love Milford. I grew up here and am glad that I am back.
