Let Wanda Know How Much She's Meant to You

On Wanda's Sugar Shack's Facebook page, people have been leaving comments about how much she's meant to them. Any comments left here, we will be sure to send them to Wanda. Here is a statement about the business's closing from the Facebook page:

Due to Wanda's poor health, it is with the heaviest of hearts that we must tell you that it is true that Wanda's Sugar Shack will be closing its doors at her current location after 40 years of service to Milford and its surrounding communities as of Saturday Dec. 29th.

The outpouring of love and admiration we have received from you over the last few days of this page's creation is nothing short of astonishing. We've literally received well wishes from 19 different countries as well as all over America.

Wanda is truly an INTERNATIONAL phenomenon that started right here in Milford, CT. Her total love for The Sugar Shack and all of its customers throughout her 40 year career as its owner and operator have been her absolute passion. On behalf of Wanda and her family we'd like to say that while this chapter of the Wanda's Sugar Shack legacy is ending, the future is NOT set in stone.

Wanda's Sugar Shack will live on in one way or another whether it re-opens in a different location or lives on only in hearts of the legions of loyal, faithful, and loving customers that have sustained it over these many years. Please continue to share this page with friends and family so that they may share their memories of Wanda. This page will remain active to keep you all informed on the goings on from this point forward.

Wanda's Sugar Shack will be open on Sat. December 15, 22, and 29th from 11am to 5pm. We encourage all of you that are able, to come in and fill your baskets one last time. Again on behalf of Wanda and her family, THANK YOU. Keep Wanda in your hearts and prayers during this difficult time.
