The Milford Police Department is currently investigating thefts from vehicles in the Northern section of Milford.
The incidents occurred on Harvest Lane, Jennifer Lane, Partridge Lane and Oronoque Road.
A majority of the vehicles were left unlocked prior to the thefts which included items such as GPS units and a camera.
During one of the thefts, two locking lug-nuts were removed from the rims on a vehicle.
Police are providing the following tips to residents to safeguard their valuables:
- Lock your car doors.
- Take advantage of your vehicle’s alarm system if one is installed.
- Utilize outdoor lighting around your home.
- Secure your valuables (GPS, cellphone, loose change)
- Lookout for your neighbors
Police sent a crime advisory pre-recorded phone message to area residents regarding these recent activities.
Citizens are encouraged to report any unusual activities in their neighborhoods to the police department.
