The Rape Crisis Center of Milford will hold its 6th annual “Walk A Mile In Her Shoes: The Men’s March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault & Gender Violence” event rain or shine on Sunday, April 29th. Check-in starts at 12pm, and the Walk will start at 1pm. Participants will stroll one mile from Lisman Landing, around the Green and back to Lisman Landing while wearing a pair of woman's shoes. Walkers are asked to use their imagination in choosing footwear.

This lighthearted event is held each year to encourage men to put themselves in the shoes of a woman who has been sexually assaulted or harassed, however, registration is not limited to men. Everyone is welcome to walk.

This year’s Walk is sponsored by The Milford Bank, Stonebridge Restaurant and Star 99.9, and 99.1 WPLR. There is no registration fee, but each walker is encouraged to collect sponsorship donations. Prizes and awards will be given out to the biggest team, most money raised, highest heel plus more. There is no registration fee, however walkers are encouraged to find sponsorship for their participation. All registered walkers who collect at least $20 in donations will receive a free t-shirt to commemorate the event; those who collect $30 or more will receive the t-shirt plus a cookbook.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN ONLINE (www.rapecrisisctr.org). Find us on Facebook for more information about the event (http://www.facebook.com/events/235178536579134/)

I don't mind more pizza if its good pizza. There are plenty of horrible and so-so pizza places inRead More Milford. Currently 314 B-port Ave is a boarded up building with a parking lot where cops love to sit. Either this will prevent cops from sitting their or will cause them to sit there more. Also ladies, Milford is known for its P's: pizza, porn, package, and pawn.

I second Christina! Is no one listening? we are up to our ears in pizza! Im pretty sure we have moreRead More pizza in milford than new haven! Where is this trailer going to park at the devon market!? the traffic the market creates is bad enough for people that live in that area without a mobile oven rolling on in! I hope they have thought of that issue at the very least!
