Dozens of people, young and old came to visit the newly built, boundless playground, Bodie's Place, at Eisenhower State Park during its official opening on May 14.
After the ribbon was cut at the $400,000 playground, paid for by generous donations, children ran to enjoy slides, swings, swinging benches and a large playscape. Equipment is set in such a way that all is wheelchair accessible. There are even swings with full backs resembling roller coaster seats to ensure safety and fun for everyone.
The park, adjacent to the tennis courts, contains over 16,000 square feet of specialized equipment suitable for those with special needs. A beautiful mural is set on the back wall of the area.
