In front of a healthy crowd of supporters, Ben Blake announced that he will seek a second term as Mayor of the City of Milford in the upcoming November 2013 election.
"Over the past 18 months, this is where I've spent my time," Blake said, surrounded by his family and Democratic Town Committee Chairman Richard Smith. "Two years ago, I ran for mayor because I love this town. I know our people. I grew up here, and after two years of being Mayor, I know this City inside and out," Blake continued.
He spoke about Storm Sandy and Hurricane Nemo, saying, "You saw neighbor helping neighbor, our community rose to that occasion. Over the past eighteen months, that's what I'm most proud of."
"Tonight I have the opportunity to announce to you that I will be seeking a second term as Mayor of this great city," Blake said.
