Bob Gregory, Community & Economic Development Director for the City of Milford, said the following:

Obviously, we're very saddened to hear about the closing. Christina was a member of the Devon Revitalization Committee for a good number of years and contributed and her partner Dan is involved in a new venture at the Flagship Marina, but Al dente's was a very positive happening for the Village of Devon and I hope to see it under new ownership and in a new shape or form, come back to life.

118th District State Representative Kim Rose spoke of the closing, saying, "It's always unfortunate."

Rose commented on the plans to re-open the restaurant under new ownership, saying that she was "looking forward to the next new adventure."
