A Month Later, Debris Remains on Bridgewater Ave.

After making the City of Milford aware of debris at 16 Bridgewater Ave. from the rubble of a comdemned property that had yet to be removed, Mayor Ben Blake and Dr. Dennis McBride gave the owners of the property a month to clear out the rubble.

"There was a complaint on March 20 to the Health Department. The Health Department inspected it on March 26," Mayor Blake said in early April. "The house was destroyed by the storm and the owner was required to demolished it. The owners made representations to the Health Department and they entered this on the 26 [of March] that they were working on removing the debris, and that it should be cleared up within a month."

Bridgewater Ave. resident Thomas Christmann is not happy with the lack of progress on the debris removal, saying, "It has been 30 days, seems the Mayor hasnt followed through."

Attempts were made to reach Dr. McBride and Mayor Blake. We will bring you updates on this story as they become available.
