Students Score High on Standardized Tests
Students Exhibit Above Average Academic Growth
St. Mary School is proud to announce that their students scored very high on the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills. The students of grades 3-7 were administered the tests this past March, and were given the most recent edition & were scored using the most recent nationwide norms. The results show that, on average, the students of St. Mary School scored 1 –1.5 years higher than the national norms.
The average percentile score for the core totals of all the tests for all the grades was 85.0. This means that the average student at St. Mary School achieved a score higher than 85% of all the students who took the same test during the same month.

- Grade 4 grew 1.6 years in the past year
- Grade 5 grew over 3 years in just the past 2 years
- Grade 6 grew 3 years in just the past 2 years
- Grade 7 grew 3 years in just the past 2 years
Thus showing above average growth, especially in the upper grades!
