St. Mary Golfers are no fair weather friends! On June 25th, the 18th Annual St. Mary School Golf Classic was hosted at Grassy Hill Country Club in Orange Connecticut during a nasty thunderstorm. Someone must have been praying for us because the weather cleared up long enough for 70 golfers to have a great time. Golfers participated in many incentives including a putting contest, longest drive, closest to the pin and the infamous "hole in one" shot. The afternoon culminated with cocktails and lunch with many golfers leaving with fantastic raffle prizes.
Together with help of dozens of sponsors, the SMS Golf Classic raised over $8,000 to help the school’s Home School Association. We give special thanks to our Platinum Sponsor Napoli Motors, Silver Sponsor Stevens Manufacturing and our Bronze Sponsors Milford Bank, NE Moves and Shoreline Family Chiropractic and Wellness. The SMS Golf Classic is one of many fundraisers for the school and the committee looks forward to our next outing in 2013 - date to be announced.
