Valuable Advice for Monroe Business Student

BRIDGEPORT – Monroe resident and Housatonic Community College student Robert Altavilla (left) discusses starting a business with HCC alumna and entrepreneur Ivy Royster of Stratford. Royster, who has been running her own virtual administrative assistant business for seven years, spoke to HCC business students as part of National Entrepreneurship Week observances at the college. Noting that that “many of the new jobs created throughout the United States in the last decade are directly attributable to the creative efforts of  entrepreneurs and small businesses,” Gov. Dannel P. Malloy, in a National Entrepreneurship Week proclamation, stressed that “entrepreneurship is vital to Connecticut’s economy, future growth and prosperity.”
