The Watermark at 3030 Park Extends Art/Place Gallery Exhibit

The Watermark at 3030 Park is pleased to announce the extension of the current Art/Place Gallery at The Watermark exhibit featuring Fairfield artist Diane Pollack. The exhibition, entitled “Mended Hearts,” has been on display since June, will now be held through September 27.

Pollack has exhibited widely throughout Connecticut and Tucson, Arizona, where she founded the Paper Works Collective. She is a co-chairperson of Art/Place, a curator for the Kershner Gallery at the Fairfield Public Library, and has lectured at the Asia Society in New York City.

For her latest Art/Place Gallery @The Watermark exhibit, Pollack has created a new series of dynamic patterns by cutting prints horizontally and stitching them together.

“Many of my pieces for this exhibit are inspired by the fundamental role women play as bearers of life,” said Pollack. “By arranging and multiplying the abstracted female forms and vessels in my prints, I suggest generations of knowledge and life experience, both individual and collective.”

Art/Place Gallery @ The Watermark is open Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, please call The Watermark at 3030 Park at 203-374-5611.
