Sweet dog needs donations

Neglected by her past owners, Punky Brewster was found covered in urine and feces, completely infested with fleas on every inch of her body causing an infection and allergic reaction that made most of her fur fall out. She has dental disease and mammary tumors.

Despite all this, Punky is a dog with a great personality and heart. We are guessing that she is around 10 years old. We consulted with our veterinarian and she said that she thought with medication and some surgery she would still have many years to be loved by a new family that deserves her.

The attached picture is one month after Stratford Animal Control took her into custody. She has gained weight, her infection has cleared up and her fur is starting to grow back. She is just finishing up a round of antibiotics and she is scheduled to have the tumors removed as well as dental surgery in a few weeks.
