Susan Barrett Elected to the Board of Directors of the Visiting Nurse Association of South Central Connecticut

New Haven (November 19, 2013) – Robert H. Motley, Chairman of the Board of the Visiting Nurse Association of South Central Connecticut (VNA/SCC) serving the Greater New Haven area, recently announced that Susan Barrett of Fairfield, CT was elected to the Board of Directors for the VNA/SCC, a non-profit, community-based home health agency that provides high quality health care services in the home and communities it serves. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors, Susan will also serve on the Development Committee. “We are honored to have Susan serve on our Board and Development Committee. Her expertise will serve us well. Susan is a dedicated volunteer who adds a complimentary level of experience with non profit  Boards and is committed to the needs of seniors and the mission of the VNA/SCC to provide the best care to every patient every day in the comfort of their home,”  commented John R. Quinn, President/CEO of the VNA/SCC.

Susan is a retired public school educator in Stratford with over 37 years of experience. She has served her community of Fairfield and statewide as a civic volunteer in numerous organizations. She has been an elected official at the State and local levels along with two terms as a Fairfield Fire Commissioner and one term as a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives representing the 132nd District from Fairfield.
