I WANT TO THANK BOARD OF EDUCATION MEMBER - JOHN DeROSA – FIRST DISTRICT, FOR REPRESENTING THE COMMUNITY. Mr. DeRosa is a newly elected member on the Board and is strongly representing the community during these budget proceedings. The proceeding that don't include the public. Asking questions to clarify the meanings, inquiring on what certain things are and why and asking for supporting documents. Mr. DeRosa is the Minority Leader on the board but in more ways than one. The Minority Leader is the title / position representing the party with the least elected members, there are less Republicans than Democrats. But he is truly representing the minority party in the Milford Education System, THE PUBLIC. Thank You Mr. DeRosa.

I went to this meeting last night and I watched it on TV the night before. Gary Tobin doesn't know what he's talking about. There were lots of questions from many board members, not just John DeRosa. And they were very clear before ending there will be additional time for board questions if necessary before voting.
Gary Tobin January 17, 2014 at 03:55 PM
Hello Mr. JE - I did not say Mr. DeRosa was the only member to ask questions. ---- I did say thank you Mr. DeRosa. ---- I did not say the board could not ask more questions. ---- I did say NO ADDITIONAL PUBLIC COMMENTS UNTIL AFTER THE VOTE. Why no additional public comments? Because that is what the meeting's agenda spells out. Should public comment be offered before the vote, yes.
JE January 17, 2014 at 06:21 PM
Well Mr. Tobin, the agenda I see puts public comment the very first thing.
Gary Tobin January 17, 2014 at 11:51 PM
Mr. JE - I see, that is a better agenda order. Do you think the final budget draft should be made available for the residents of Milford to read before the vote?
Michael Brown January 18, 2014 at 08:44 AM
@Gary Tobin - I can see that you are smitten, but the last thing Mr. DeRosa needs is an endorsement from you.
Gary Tobin January 18, 2014 at 09:54 AM
Hello Mr. Brown - poof, you appear like magic. I support Mr. DeRosa's efforts during the budget process and said Thank You. Are you upset your czar doesn't have strings attached? Mr. DeRosa shows interest for the best budget and is interested the residents of Milford understand what is in the budget. Mr. DeRosa is one of the members on the Board of Education that does not have interest in selling and privatizing 75 percent of Milford's education system. By the way, have you confronted Mayor Blake, Dr. Feser and Mrs. Casey yet regarding the scandal, cover up and insurance fraud. I made some inquiries and it is also suggested that you report this incident to the city ethics committee. You have information regarding elected officials and Milford employees that involve scandal and insurance fraud and the state ethics committee and state insurance commission should be notified sooner than later.
Michael Brown January 18, 2014 at 10:05 AM
Gary Tobin - What "Czar" are you talking about? What "scandal" involving "insurance fraud" are referring too? You seem to making an extremely hamfisted attempt to deflect blame for damaged property onto someone else. Sad.
Gary Tobin January 18, 2014 at 11:18 AM
Mr. Brown - No deflection. No extreme ham-fisted. You have information regarding an incident, and incident Mayor Blake, Dr. Feser and Mrs. Casey additionally Mr. Richetelli all are involved in this incident reporting's. Insurance fraud is a serious offense. You, Mr. Michael Brown have a duty as a citizen to report your information, regardless of political affiliation or any other affiliation. You may have culpability if you don't report your information. Below I listed the contact information: Mayor Blake 203-783-3201 - Mayor@ci.milford.ct.us Tracy Casey (203) 882-1007 - tcasey@milforded.org Dr. Feser 203-783-3433 - efeser@milforded.org James Richetelli 203-783-3405 - jrichetelli@milforded.org Milford Ethics Commission (See website) Off. of State Ethics - 860-263-2400 ethics.enforcement@ct.gov State Insur. Hahaha scandal.
Michael Brown January 19, 2014 at 01:09 AM
@Gary Tobin - Like I said. Sad.
Gary Tobin January 19, 2014 at 08:23 AM
Happy to get back on topic now, Mr. John DeRosa, member of Milford’s Board of Education, thanks you for your continuous representation during the 2014-2015 budget process and acting in the best interest of the public. Even when some board members and members of the administration displayed their disgust of his inquiries he remained persistent and not accept the a universal answer of, “this is how it’s been done for many years” or “you’re new, you don’t understand” didn’t coax or curve from his inquiries. Mr. John DeRosa, First District Republican, demonstrated strong efforts all in the best interest of Milford. Thanks Again…
Michael Brown January 19, 2014 at 08:33 AM
The kiss of death.
Gary Tobin January 19, 2014 at 10:42 AM
Mr. Michael Brown, you are cryptic with rich lyrics of sue silence.
Michael Brown January 19, 2014 at 11:31 AM
@Gary Tobin - You are verbose and tedious.
Gary Tobin January 19, 2014 at 01:02 PM
Mr. Michael Brown, I like that word "verbose". Coming from you, I'll take those descriptions as compliments. Thank You.
