Milford Law Firm Offers Scholarship to Put an End to Bullying in Schools

The Law Offices of Carter Mario Injury Lawyers is pleased to announce the 2014 CarterCares Scholarship Program. The scholarship is a combination effort to assist students going on to college financially, but also to help teens to create stronger schools and communities free of bullying.

It’s estimated that every day, 160,000 teens skip school because of bullying, and approximately 50% of students report being victims of bullying at some point in their lives. Bullying can take many different forms – physical, verbal, exclusion, and cyberbullying.

For this year’s scholarship, each applicant will be asked to prepare a presentation encouraging your peers to take a stand against bullying in your school and community. Connecticut’s Injury Lawyer, Carter Mario and his staff will judge the presentations, which could be but not limited to -- Videos; Essays; Brochures; or Booklets, sent to the firm on how you propose your school community can put an end to bullying. The statewide firm will award $2,000 a piece to (10) ten high school seniors in the state of Connecticut attending a four-year college or university in the fall.
