Milford Kiwanis Club Hosting “Keeping Milford Warm” Event on December 7
Proceeds to Benefit Emergency Fuel Program of the Salvation Army Service Unit

Milford, CT—October 18, 2013—The Milford Kiwanis Club Annual Holiday Party will be held on December 7, 2013 from 6:30-11PM at the Milford Yacht Club (131 Trumbull Ave), in Milford, Connecticut. The theme this year will be “Keeping Milford Warm” and focus on raising funds for the Emergency Fuel Program. Admission for the event is $50 per person, and includes a full dinner, cash bar, live music and entertainment!

Donations received will go directly to the Emergency Fuel Program of the Salvation Army Service Unit. This program is designed to aid local Milford families who have run out of home heating oil and have no other means of assistance.

“Milford is a wonderful community and continually shows support for one another, and with the downturn in the economical landscape, many Milford residents are faced with difficult decisions,” said Kevin McGrath, Chairman of the Kiwanis Holiday Party. “The Kiwanis Club and the Salvation Army Service Unit have teamed up to raise funds for those less fortunate in the community and provide them with a little bit of peace of mind this season. No one should have to choose between heating their residence and affording everyday necessities, such as food.”
