Milford Costco Installs Safe-Docks For Shopping Carts

To provide consumers with a safer way to shop with their kids, Costco has become the first store in Milford to join a growing trend – stores are adopting carts designed specifically to hold infant carriers and keep infants safe, while also making shopping easier. The local Costco has just partnered with Safe-Strap, the company that invented the world’s first child safety belt for shopping carts in 1983, to offer 20 carts with the Safe-Dock system for parents shopping with infants.

Over 20,000 children are injured every year in accidents involving shopping carts. 5% of these accidents involve infants. Safe-Docks are designed to prevent babies in infant seats from falling out of the shopping cart and to allow mom or dad to have a more relaxed shopping experience.
