Law's Tim Maher and Foran's Justin Kassouf Sign Nat'l Letters of Intent

MILFORD – The Milford Public Schools is pleased to announce two students have signed National Letters of Intent to continue athletic play in college.  The students will receive tuition assistance from their intended schools.  The students attended special signing events at both high schools this week.

Jonathan Law: Tim Maher, Wagner College (Staten Island, NY), Football

Timothy Maher, son of Gerry and Donna Maher of Milford, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play Division I football at Wagner College in Staten Island, NY. Mr. Maher intends to enter the school’s Physician Assistant program, a 5-year course of study that is considered the precursor to medical school.

A 4-year player at Law, Tim served as quarterback for the Eagles.  He was one of the team’s captains this year.  For the past 3 years, Tim received the SCC All Academic award, and was named as an All SCC Player this year.  Tim was also named to the All State 2nd Team.  A multi-talented athlete, Tim also served as a specialty player, performing as a defenseman, a wide receiver, and punter.

“I am so happy to be joining a program that is prestigious and competitive. I love football and I love science – and Wagner will provide both.  I can’t wait to get started,” Tim commented.

Joseph A. Foran: Justin Kassouf, East Stroudsburg University (East Stroudsburg, PA), Soccer

Justin Kassouf, son of Scott and Kathleen Kassouf of Milford, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play soccer at East Stroudsburg University in East Stroudsburg, PA.  Mr. Kassouf will be playing as a center back for the Warriors in the fall.  Justin plans to major in Physical Education.

Justin has had an illustrious soccer career while at Foran. A 4-year player, he was named to the All SCC team for three years.  Justin also received the SCC All Academic award for 3 years. He also was included on the MSG Varsity All Connecticut Team for soccer.

“I am looking forward to meeting my new teammates and am grateful for the opportunity,” Justin commented.

Congratulations, Tim and Justin!
