Stop the "homeless, hungry" scam plague!

Milford has become a prime space for the scam artists that pursue the scam trade of the "homeless, hungry" business. You see them everywhere... at the Walmart, Stop and Shop, McDonalds, the highway exit ramps. You feel bad for them, those poor, poor people. Well, here's an eye opener for you. In most cases they are neither homeless nor hungry. On a good day, they make over twenty dollars an hour, tax free. Several of them own newer model cars. This is all information gained from direct surveillance of them, some from conversations with the scammers themselves. The grey haired, ponytailed veteran with the cane? Not even remotely incapacitated. He bike rides several miles per day between his "work sites", can run and walk easily without his cane. It's just part of his working costume. The gentleman with the blue jacket out near the entrance of Hometown Buffet? I guess he need the money to support the brand new blue Dodge club-cab Dakota that he drives. It's parked in the McDonalds lot about twenty feet away. The lady in front of the Walmart left in her new Volvo when security asked her to leave. Citizens of Milford, we need a strict panhandling law in place to rid our city of this blight. These scam artists are not looking for work, they aren't starving, and as long as there are no penalties and lots of free handouts from kind hearted people they will never stop. Please help stop this blight, contact your local legislators, and push to have panhandling laws put into place. Above all, don't give your hard earned money to these frauds.
