Hurricane Sandy Telethon at Jonathan Law HS

On Friday, November 9th, Jonathan Law's daily morning news show, Eagle Eye News, will be hosting a telethon to benefit the Milford Red Cross, which will in turn give all donations we collect to victims of Hurricane Sandy in Milford.

We are going to be on the air from 7:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m., and thoughout the day, students and faculty are encouraged to come to Room 135 (Law's TV studio) to donate money, food, gift cards, blankets, coats, toiletries, hand warmers, batteries, pet food or any other non-perishable goods.

Unlike a traditional telethon, we will not not take donations over the phone. Instead we have invited all students and faculty down to Room 135 to donate and to appear as a guest on the air.

Students are invited to come down and discuss the clubs, sports, or activities they are involved in, and teachers are invited to come down and discuss their teams, clubs, or classes.

Each guest will also be invited to share their experiences during last week's storm. We also plan on collecting money in the cafeteria during all lunch waves.

**Anyone in the community who would like to donate to the telethon can drop off their donations at Law this week. For additional information, people can contact English and TV Production teacher Chris Kulenych at (203) 783-3574 or e-mail him at ckulenych@milforded.org.
