, had an eventful weekend earlier this month. Between the Getaway Galore Pasta Dinner and Auction on June 8, and the first annual activeHealth 5K on June 9, thousands were raised to benefit the Boys and Girls Club.
“The outstanding support from members and companies of the community is unmatched, and is the reason so many of Milford’s youth look forward to attending the Boys & Girls Club of Milford,” said Jorge Santiago, President of the Board of Directors for the club. “With these funds, new programs can now be examined, as well as new equipment and items the club members require. Thank you to everyone who supported the events, especially Michael Orefice and the entire activeHealth staff, as well as the local volunteers, organizations, the Boys & Girls Club staff and board members. ”
“The Boys & Girls Club of Milford and its members are grateful for the support of their neighbors in making sure they can go to an after-school club that provides safe and supervised educational, recreational and social activities,” noted Megan Altomare, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Milford.
The Boys and Girls Club would like to extend a special thanks to the sponsors and contributors of both events. The events happened because of the hard work and dedication multiple sponsors, supporters and private donors.
