Close to 200 Riders at Ride for Hope!

Close to 200 motorcyclists rode for charity at Sunday’s Ride for Hope, a 70-mile motorcycle ride that benefited the Rape Crisis Center of Milford, the Milford Prevention Council, and the United Way of Milford.

Mayor Ben Blake was on hand to start the ride at 10 am from the Woodruff Family YMCA in Milford, CT.  Participants rode to Woodbury, CT, and returned to the Woodruff Y for lunch provided by Outback Steakhouse, raffles, and music by DJ Pulse.

Riders agreed that great weather and the scenic route made for a successful ride.  Says Ann Fabian, executive director of the Rape Crisis Center, who joined the riders, “We couldn’t be more pleased with the turnout. We had a terrific group of riders who came out to support three important causes and had a great time while doing so.”

Wendy Gibbons of the Milford Prevention Council added, “The three organizations enjoyed collaborating on this event.  We especially wish to thank our sponsors – the Woodruff YMCA, Outback Steakhouse, Montano Coffee and Candy, Climate Partners, and DJ Pulse – who helped make the day such a huge success.”
