MEPI ANNOUNCES NEW GRANT CYCLE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL APPLICATIONS
Starting October 1st, MEPI (Milford Environmental Protection Initiative) will be accepting grant applications for projects with innovative environmental ideas.
Do you have an idea to protect/restore the environment in Milford? Maybe MEPI can help. We’re looking for applications from local residents or civic groups committed to making Milford a more sustainable community. Projects we’ve supported in the past include a solar collector on top of Foran High, seeds and tools for Bridges at the Community Gardens, clean-up and monitoring at the Solomon Property, tree-plantings in Eisenhower Park. We favor projects that involve cooperation among people or groups, projects that may start small but have a wide ripple effect. We especially welcome applications that include young people, or that feature some type of environmental education.
MEPI raises money locally and recycles those funds directly back into the community through local projects by local residents. MEPI grants are typically in the range of $200-$1,000. Proposals will be accepted through November 30th. Awardees will be notified on or before January 15th.

Enjoy reading Milford Patch...Just wanted to offer a standing invitation: if anyone would ever care…Read More to meet in-person to discuss anything Colony Grill-related, I would be happy to do so anytime. Perhaps I can help correct any misinformation or assumptions that have been asserted above. Thanks,
