We give grants to anyone from Milford who has a…Read More good idea for protecting the natural environment. Examples of people MEPI has funded:
--community gardeners in Eisenhower Park, for tools and seedlings;
--students in the Foran Energy Club, for a solar project;
--a Boy Scout, for a project planting chestnut trees in Eisenhower Park;
--a local resident and environmental advocate, for stewardship projects at the Solomon Property.
MEPI is a small non-profit, with tax-exempt status pending. We raise money through donations from friends, benefits such as this Colony Grill Preview Party, and sales of art works produced by members. Many Milfordites have enjoyed our annual calendar, with its photographs of local scenes. We thank all of our supporters in the community, and hope others will want to assist in what we do! To tear down Colony Grill and raise money to replace a hardware store? C'mon...Milford is going to change whether we like it or not. Prepare yourselves, it's going to happen.
