Jonathan Law Student Charged with Assault
Other arrests in Milford include DWI and larcenies.
A 17-year-old Jonathan Law student was arrested Feb. 3 on charges of third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace in relation to a fight at the high school.
The student allegedly struck another student during an altercation that took place at the at 1 p.m. on that day. The student, whose identity was not released due age, was released on a promise to appear in court on Feb. 22.
Trio Charged with Theft from Sears

Three women, including two minors, were arrested in connection with a theft from on Feb. 5.
Police responded to the 1201 Boston Post Road business at the at about 7:30 p.m. that day. The suspects allegedly attempted to steal $249 worth of jewelry and one suspect reportedly struck a store employee in the face when attempting to flee the scene.

Taken into custody and charged with third-degree robbery, sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny and second-degree breach of peace was Ariana Paneto, 22, of Bridgeport. Also arrested on charges of sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny were a 17-year-old and a 16-year-old.
Paneto was released on a promise to appear in court on Feb. 21. The 17-year-old was released on a promise to appear in court on Feb. 22 and the 16-year-old was issued a juvenile summons.
Driving the Wrong Way, DWI
A 31-year-old Norwalk woman was hit with a DWI charge after police pulled her over for allegedly driving the wrong way on the one-way stretch of River Street in Milford.
Police said the driver, who they identified as Raven Ray, had an elevated blood alcohol level at the time of the stop, 2:40 a.m.
Ray’s bond was set at $500 and she is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 23.
Larceny Charges
A 29-year-old Shelton woman was arrested Feb. 4 on charges of fifth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny and risk of injury to a minor.
The arrest took place at 1201 Boston Post Road at 5 p.m., according to Milford Police, which did not have any additional information available at the time of the report’s release. The suspect, Alison Maclean, was released on a promise to appear in court on Feb. 21.
Failure to Appear
A 21-year-old Milford resident was arrested by warrant at 4 p.m. on Feb. 3 on charges of second-degree failure to appear.
Police said Lauren Lyga, of Burnt Plains Road, did not show up in court in January for a November 2011 arrest on a motor vehicle charge. Her bond was set at $1,000 and she is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 21.
