Today's a bittersweet day for me as I leave Milford Patch after more than a year of service.
Thanks to all of you for welcoming me to the Small City With a Big Heart -- which I will continue to call home.
Thank you also for helping to make Milford Patch a success!
We've been through a lot together: a hurricane (you can call Irene a tropical storm if you want to :); the life-and-death struggle of Buddy the Golden Retriever; and the tale of a runaway cow saved from sure slaughter.
Thanks for being there with your photos, comments, blogs, etc. You've helped weave Patch into the fabric of our community. It will continue under the stewardship of some very dedicated editors.
Best always -- and Happy Holidays to all!
Denise
P.S. -- Please keep an eye out for my byline in the Hartford Courant next year.

To the devine Denise: Heartfelt (Hartford?) congratulations on the announcement of your new job. I'm sure the Courant will benefit as did the Patch by your special brand of editorial management. Do you need a press release announcing your prestigious new career role? (LOL). You certainly did an excellent job covering our city, and of integrating the Patch to the Milford community.
